Signal Lamp Health Monitoring Unit (SHMU) generates alarms by finding unhealthy behaviour of the current regulator. SHMU sets upper and lower limits of the current for operation of LED lamp and generates alarms when the current is drawn beyond the limits.

Alarms can be generated by SHMU

Current drawn by signal lamp is beyond limit –more than 160 ma / less than 100 ma.
Signal lamp drawing current when lamp control relay down.
Signal lamp drawing current but lamp checking relay not picked up.
Signal lamp not drawing current but lamp checking relay picked up.
